NC State Fair!

We had such a great time last weekend at the state fair, not once but twice! This was my first time going twice in one year, and I think that's the way to go! We went Friday night, ate fun food, rode a few rides (yes, a "few" because I'm not as young as I once was!) and people-watched. But then we went back Saturday morning with our friends Brad and Jenise and their family and saw all the exhibits and such. It was fabulous! This was also the first time Jason and I have been to the fair together because last year we were in Mexico on our honeymoon and the year before that I didn't know who Jason Redmond was! So, it was a great first fair memory! Here are a few pics.

We ran into some friends and got to hang out with them for awhile too which was a fun surprise!

We won this Sham Magic (think Sham Wow!) playing bingo. We haven't tried it yet, but maybe we'll pour out a 2-liter on the floor tonight and see if that TV guy knows what he's talking about!

Here's Jason taking a 2nd ride on the "Freak". We rode this Friday night and it totally did me in. It was fun, but that was all I could handle! I had to pass when the crowd wanted to ride again on Saturday - once per 24-hour period was enough for me!

Then we went down to Burgaw, NC on Saturday evening and got to have dinner with Jason's parents and grandparents. Here's Jason and his grandma. They got to laughing and couldn't stop! We had such a nice, relaxing time with them. I'm so glad it worked out for us to go.

We're off to Black Mountain and Asheville this weekend for our anniversary trip so check back next week for pics!
