Last few weeks

Hi friends! Sorry I haven't updated recently. Really, it's a totally lame excuse, but my camera died a few weeks ago and I just keep forgetting to put batteries in it! Come on, Bec! We've had a great past few weeks, though very busy, so here are some updates...

So, we got to go to the Canes game the other night when they won in over time! Wish I'd gotten some pics of that. Last weekend Jason went on the Middle School FCA retreat and I got the chance to start catching up on thank-you notes - finally!

On Saturday, April 25th we were able to volunteer at the Convoy of Hope downtown. This was a huge outreach to the whole community offering free haircuts, job fair, kids play zone, two free bags of groceries, an opportunity to be prayed with and hear the gospel, live music, and much more! We had over 6,000 guests and about 65 churches partnered together to make it happen. It was an amazing experience to be part of! Our job was in the food services area so we helped serve thousands of hot dogs - I don't want to see another hot dog for quite a while!

The weekend before that our church hosted Whole Woman Day, which was a really great time as well. We heard from Mary Kassian, a speaker I had heard in college who changed the way I was thinking about biblical womanhood! She's written a lot of great books that you should check out.

Of course we've had lots of baseball games to go to, and Jason's church softball league has just started up, so we're enjoying the spring weather activities!

Okay, I'm planning to get my camera batteries for this weekend, so next post should have pictures! Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there! Love ya'll!
