Anniversary in Asheboro

Our anniversary was back in mid-October, and we had a chance to get away for the weekend to enjoy it! We stayed in Asheboro, which is not typically a tourist attraction, but we found a little log cabin there that was only 10 minutes from the NC Zoo so we decided to try it out!

On Friday night we had dinner at Sir Pizza - it felt like we were back in 1988, but it was good food and we had fun!


Here are a few shots of the cabin we stayed in - it had a kitchenette, a fireplace, and then a whirlpool tub and bed were upstairs. It was very cozy!

Here we are at the zoo on Saturday - I decided not to post all the pictures of elephants, gorillas and lions...you've seen one, you've seen them all...

This is the view from the front of our cabin - it was on the back side of some farm property. We woke up Saturday to bleating goats and baaing sheep!

On Sunday Jason played golf at Tot Hill Farm, which is apparently a pretty tough course. I got to drive the cart which is much better than me trying to play golf! It was a beautiful day so we were so thankful!

We're so greatful for 2 years of marriage - it's gone by fast!
