Here's Baby Redmond at 8 weeks, 6 days - crazy!
In all seriousness, we are so grateful to the Lord for answering our prayers. We were trying to get pregnant for a year, and we had been to the doctor several times from December-February, at which point the doctor told us we would probably need Clomid in order to get pregnant, due to some hormonal things going on with me. I know a lot of women spend YEARS trying to get pregnant so in no way do I want to compare my situation to theirs, but there were a lot of discouraging days, tears, and questions about what the Lord was leading us to do and when. We decided in early February to take the prescription (I think I still have it in my purse!) but not fill it and give it one more cycle to see what might happen. Well, b/c of my issues that could have been one month, or three months, or longer! So, that was a difficult surrender of my will to the Lord, but Jason felt strongly that we should wait - and you know what? The Lord worked a miracle! I don't know why He chose to answer our prayers at that time, or why He delays for others, but we know He is good and His plans are always good, so we are thankful and He's grown our faith and gave us a chance to see Him provide as only He can.
So, a few other pics just for fun...
We went to Edenton for a few days the week before Easter for a much needed time away to relax and have some fun.
Here we are walking by the waterfront - daydreaming about living that close to the water. Then I thought, no, what if my kids walked out the front door and straight into the river - scratch that idea.
We had such a relaxing time!
Part of our package included cooking lessons for making bbq ribs - yum!
The guy who owned the b&b was the one who taught us how to make them - he smoked them all day and that night all the couples who were there got to taste test each others' creations. And we officially graduated from Rib University - we have the aprons to prove it. :-)
Easter Sunday morning - by this time I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant since I'd been starving the whole time we were in Edenton and more and more clues were making me wonder! But we were in Burgaw with Jason's family so we had to wait. That night we confirmed it - Baby is in there!
Okay, so I'm back in the blogging world - for real this time. Happy summer everyone!
